Disney and its longs-estranged former partners, The Weinsteins, will bring the popular children’s book series “Artemis Fowl” to the screen, according to a report in THR.
The eight sci-fi books by Eoin Colfer, about a teenage criminal mastermind, were a part of the Weinstein’s going away package when they parted ways with the Mouse. A Disney exec with Harry Potter picture ties, and the screenwriter of one of the Potter films are also involved.
