Movie Preview: James Franco’s take on Faulkner — “As I Lay Dying”

This trailer, co-starring Franco, Danny McBride and Tim Blake Nelson, feels period perfect, like a gritty by-the-book adaptation of William Faulkner’s “As I Lay Dying.” Not a lot of money on the screen, here. And it being a literary period piece, the audience for it won’t be large. But this is ambitious. It’s showing at Cannes.
