James Franco gets after Letterman re: his Harmony Korine “ban”

I missed this the night it happened, but this video from Franco’s appearance on the Letterman show gets at a couple of truisms.
Franco, as I re-discovered on interviewing him re: “Spring Breakers,” is no dumb actor, no matter how many doofuses and stoners he plays on screen. Letterman is a bit of a crank.
What’s great about this clip is Franco holding Dave’s feet to the fire — making the Letter-man a little uncomfortable. And then Dave turns it around on Franco re: his friend, Harmony Korine, “banned” from “The Late Show” for either the reason Franco gives, or that Letterman gives.
