Movie Preview: “The Bling Ring,” with Emma Watson — Sofia Coppola’s “comeback”?

The story of “The Bling Ring” — ripped from the headlines — concerned star-obsessed teens stalking and burgling the homes of LA celebrities, tracking their whereabouts like paparazzi so that they’d know when to strike.
Vera Farmiga’s sister Taissa is in the cast. Emma Watson stars, with Leslie Mann as her mother, clueless to what her little darling is up to with her disreputable friends.
Sofia Coppola made “Marie Antoinette,” which bombed and derailed Kirsten Dunst’s career, and the vapid “Somewhere,” which really bombed. So there’s a bit riding on this one for her — even if she almost makes films on the super cheap. “Lost in Translation” was ages and ages ago.Look for “The Bling Ring,” which is the most commercial thing she’s ever attempted, this summer.

And Miss Emma? Wild and sexy beyond measure, for this part.
