Kurt Russell, Jennifer Carpenter, Olyphant and Sarsgaard go for “Bone Tomahawk”

S. Craig Zahler’s story “Bone Tomahawk” might best be described as a horror Western. An outlaw leads monsters into a remote town, and when townsfolk are taken hostage, a posse sets out to free them from Hell itself.

Kurt Russell, Timothy Olyphant, Peter Sarsgaard and Jennifer Carpenter (“The Exorcism of Emily Rose”) are on board, and Magnolia snapped up the rights at Cannes.

THR says that novelist Zahler will direct it himself.
