Unlike some, I’ve never been put off by Ashton Kutcher’s casting as Steve Jobs in this new bio pic. He’s got talent, he’s tech savvy and if anybody was going to “get” this “Jobs” fellow — short of Daniel Day Lewis — why not him?
And since they’ve surrounded him with plenty of durable character players — Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, J.K. Simmons, Matthew Modine, Lukas Haas, James Woods — and since I liked the director’s Kevin Costner electoral comedy “Swing Vote”, I’m cautiously optimistic, at least until I see this later today.
