Idris Elba has had an interesting career — action pics, thrillers, torrid romantic melodramas.
But the British actor’s big break won’t be “Pacific Rim.” It might be this Nelson Mandela bio-pic. He nails the voice and being tall, he’s halfway there physically. “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” opens here Nov. 29, US, limited release. The director of “The First Grader” and “The Other Boleyn Girl” Justin Chadwick did this. Worth posting because we all need a little uplift, race relations wise.
