Time travel romances haven’t done Rachel McAdams any favors. But here she is, falling for another time-traveler (Domhnall Gleeson) whose (Bill Nighy) dad has told him about his family gift for zipping through time, meeting the right person, fixing that meeting if it goes wrong.
Gleeson, the son of famed Irish actor Brendan Gleeson, inherited his dad’s ginger hair and like dad, did time in the Harry Potter movies.
Can he carry a romantic fantasy? Better than Eric Bana (“The Time Traveler’s Wife)? That’s what McAdams wants to know. “About Time” opens Nov. 1.
