Deadline.com reports that Michael Cuesta will direct the Peter Landesman script titled “Kill the Messenger,” based on the story of a journalist who killed himself after being smeared by the CIA.

Sort of a thriller, sort of a bio-pic/tragedy, a man’s life unraveling through the efforts of a spy agency. Sounds promising. More promising than a “Hansel  & Gretel” sequel.
