The nepotism keeps on giving here as Juan Cuaron, co-writer of “Gravity” with his dad (that’s called buying your kid a credit, in some circles) does this short film about the other end of the distress call Sandra Bullock makes, only to hear some alien tongue come back at her through the static.
Calling attention to the fact that you’ve hired your kid may be the first wrong move this film’s team has made. The short is OK, but seriously, none of us spent much time in the reviews raising an eyebrow at the nepotism. And now, there it is.
