“Jurassic Park 4” to arrive in June, 2014 — but Spielberg won’t direct

Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall will produce the next “Jurassic” film, which will be directed by an as-yet unnamed director. Whom will Spielberg anoint to take over the lucrative series?

It’s obvious that special effects have advanced eons since the last film in the series, based on Michael Crichton’s book. But where can they go with the story? Short of a re-boot, this is getting into later “Planet of the Apes” territory, with no obvious plot suggesting itself.

And seriously, who IS the New Jeff Goldblum, that funny/mannered guy who suggests brains and science, stammering his way through explanations that make what’s happening seem logical.
