It’s time for another trip to the woodshed with the leatherfaced killer who inspired so many imitators. Now that we’ve seen the “REAL” Ed Gein in “Hitchcock,” I wonder how this latest 3D splatter fest will come off. Going back to the real Gein, or back to the original Tobe Hooper movie, or merely the last Chainsaw movie as inspiration?

No, they’re not previewing this one for critics. And they moved it from Halloween to the graveyard of January. But a lone horror movie always breaks out of this slow-attendance month.
