BOX OFFICE: “Clayface” and “You Can See Everything” fight for 1st, “Wicker” cracks Top 5, “Hunger Games” Awaits

It’s Halloween Weekend, the calm before the “Hunger Games” storm. So who’s going to the movies?

Not a lot of us, it turns out. But that makes it a great weekend to catch up on titles we’ve missed, pearls that will pass on as they lose their screens to the “Holiday” blockbusters to come.

“Clayface” will probably repeat as #1, as it’ on track to clear $10 million. But DC comic book movies are, by and large, a different breed and brand than Marvel on screen. “You Can See Everything” has been out-earning it on weekdays, and is also on track to hit $10 million or so.

“Clayface” opened just over $24 million, so that’s a respectable if not “good” 60% falloff, weekend to weekend. The Elizabeth Holmes/Theranos fantasia/doc “You Can See Everything” opened in a few cities to great numbers, opened wide last weekend to over $19 million, and is on pace to slack off 40-45% or so if it clears $10 million.

The animated “Wildwood” from Studio Laika and Fathom and FilmNation is plugging along and set to make $6 million or so, good enough for third place on a weak weekend.

Black Bear’s period piece sex satire https://rogersmovienation.com/2026/10/30/movie-review-a-wicker-skarsgard-is-catnip-to-the-ladies-in-this-sex-farce-fable-from-jolly-olde/“Wicker” is opening wider and will hit the top five in fourth place, $5-$6 million. It’s earning mixed notices, and I’m not the only critic to see it as clever but it just doesn’t play.

“Streetfighter” may be spent, but it’s still got enough gas to hold onto fifith on a weekend with not much new going on.

There’s a Halloween/Christmas horror tale — slasherish, splattery “Christmas at the Kringles,” that’s not making much of a mark as a new release — $3-$4 million?

We’ll have to wait and see where that places with “Sense and Sensibility,” “Other Mommy,” “Verity” and probably “Resident Evil” clinging to the Top Ten.

“The Only Living Pickpocket in New York” is the best of the weekend’s limited-release-going-wider offerings. I can’t imagine it’s an awards’ contender. But with legendary New York character players John Turturro, Steve Buscemi and Giancarlo Esposito in it, maybe.

Check back here as I’ll update these figures as the weekend progresses.
